the art of seduction is a body of work investigating and critiquing the role of the camera in modern consumerism. With the development of the camera phone and digital manipulation, it is easy to lose sight of what is real, resulting in the consumer becoming the product. I wanted to focus on the what desirability, masculinity and femininity mean, looking at them as a component of the 'gaze' within photography and fashion. The products used were the cheapest 'fetish' and 'sex' items on eBay.
